"Self-scheduled" classes are a class scheduling option we designed to make our live private classes more available. This option offers classes in a private format (1 to 2 attendees per session) with more choices to sign up for a class date. Choose a class date online from several available on our appointment calendar, Choose the class date, time, and register all in one place, and receive an immediate confirmation. This format offers self-rescheduling up to 2 times, up to 24 hours before the class start time. Rescheduling at less than 24 hours before class start is done by notifying by us by email. Our educators are working nurses, and we know it can sometimes be difficult for health care professionals to take time off to attend scheduled class dates.
Yes. If you'd like us to schedule a private class date at our training center with a few colleagues (up to 2 to attend total) - pick an available date on our class scheduling calendar and complete your registration at the same time, it's that easy!

To meet best practice standards, the first step to becoming competent to insert PICC lines is to complete a PICC insertion education program that meets national standards and guidelines.
The next step after completing class training is to perform PICC insertions under the supervision of an experienced PICC clinician. Clinicians are deemed "PICC qualified" to perform PICC insertion procedures once the clinician is deemed independent and competent in the procedure per employing facility policies.
After becoming independent in performing PICC insertion procedures with a preceptor and inserting a minimum of 25 PICC catheters, clinicians may optionally take an exam through a private company to further verify competency in the procedure,
Nurses working in the field of infusion and/or vascular access that seek to expand their professional options - may qualify to take the exam for national certification as an infusion specialist and/or board certification as a vascular access specialist through national professional specialty organizations.
Yes, rescheduling the private class date is easily done online by going to our appointment calendar. The change is made to a new available date on the calendar. This can be done up to 2 times. Access to rescheduling is available up to 24 hours before the class date.
At less than 24 hours of the private class date, the private class can be rescheduled by written request (email or contact us through our web form).
Our online classes are designed to fit your schedule. The online courses are interactive and are based on evidence-based theory . The classes are available 24/7 for a full year after enrollment.
