Our private classes are based on a learner-centered, individualized education plan, The class offers more one-to-one instructor time and self-scheduling. Learn I.V. infusion therapy and related venous access device care procedures from our infusion experts. Topics include gravity, volume controlled gravity vs. pump IV administration; saline, and heparin flushing; infusion start and disconnect; primary vs. secondary IV infusions, and central line care and maintenance.
This program meets requirements for LPN and RN nursing IV certification and re-certification for administration of intravenous (IV) infusion therapy in Connecticut skilled nursing facilities. Nurses from states outside of Connecticut - are encouraged to check the state's regulations for nurse IV infusion therapy administration certification prior to taking the class.
How It Works: Registered attendees are enrolled into our prerequisite Infusion Therapy Essentials online course. The online class is completed prior to attending the private class. Bonus: enrollment in our online class is valid for one full year!

Our online classes are based on learner-centered education plans, The Infusion Therapy Essentials online class offers a comprehensive overview of IV therapy administration and care procedures.. The online education program meets the didactic part of Connecticut state education guidelines for nurse infusion therapy administration certification.
How It Works: Registered attendees are enrolled into our online course and can complete the class within a day or two, or take up to a year to complete the class. Preceptor qualifications are determined by employer policies and procedures, and in certain areas such qualifications are also determined by state guidelines.

Note: The online class alone does not fulfill all requirements to complete education for certification and re-certification for nurse administration of infusion therapy in Connecticut skilled nursing facilities. Connecticut guidelines require nurses to complete and demonstrate hands-on infusion therapy administration skills to a qualified nurse preceptor.
"Self-scheduled" classes offer more choices for class dates. Choose a class date online from several available on our appointment calendar, Choose the class date, time, and register all in one place, and receive an immediate confirmation. Our extensive experience in education has shown us that it can sometimes be dfficult for health care professionals to take time off to attend pre-scheduled class dates. We came up with this class scheduling design to make our classes more available.
Yes. If you'd like us to schedule a private class date at our training center with a few colleagues or for your group -pick an available date on our appointment calendar that works for you and call our office to make payment and hold the date. Our education department is available weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Eastern time.
Yes, Rescheduling the private class date is easily done online by going to our apppintment calendar. The change is made to a new available date on the calendar. This can be done up to 2 times. Access to rescheduling is available up to 72 hours before the class date.
At less than 72 hours of the private class date, a private class can be re-scheduled by written request (email or contact through our web form is fine). A fee of $30 per person is charged if a class date is rescheduled within less than 24 hours prior to the private class date being changed.
